The most important thing that will happen at your first visit at Washington Street Family Dentistry is that we will listen to your dental concerns. Then, we will take a confidential dental and health history. Dr. Manela will examine you, and unless you have brought current X-rays with you, X-rays will be taken. All of this will be done in a relaxed, comfortable and caring manner.

We will thoroughly discuss options for your dental care and explain everything to you so that you will understand the proposed treatment. While you can be assured that Dr. Manela will recommend the best treatment plan for you, your preferences will always be taken into consideration. We want to know what is on your mind. If you have concerns about your dental treatment, whether your concerns are financial, medical or involve anything else, we are here to help you!

It is important that you be as honest as possible with us in answering questions regarding your medical history, allergies and medications you may be taking, along with anything else of importance, including infectious diseases. This information is kept confidential and is part of your records. Be assured that there are stringent controls as to who can access these records. It is, of course, your right to access this information as part of the Patient Bill of Rights.
